Last but not least, we are often involved in research projects to identify today what we need tomorrow – for instance, to respond to demographic changes, mobile living, increasing population densities in urban areas and the recyclability of building materials.
FlyingSpaces
FlyingSpaces, our solution for flexible living: They are cost-effective, quickly built, can be repositioned and function as apartments for single as well as children’s day care centres. The compact modules are predestined for filling empty urban spaces – as a roof attachments, extensions or clever mini-houses.
Multi-storey buildings
The multi-storey town house as a prefabricated house with loft-type structure: with its high degree of prefabrication, this is residential space that is cost-efficient and quick to implement. It was constructed for the first time at an international building exhibition in 2013. Case Study No. 2 was completed in Pfullingen, south-west Germany, in Sommer of 2015.
Energy Plus house
Since 2010, a number of show house have been built as Energy Plus houses. The Schwörer-House CUBE® in Hohenstein-Oberstetten was the irst Energy Plus object. The Energy Plus house in Cologne’s Frechen district hast just completed two years of monitoring by the Frauenhofer Institute, Europe’s largest application-oriented research organisation.
Supported by the federal government in the field of exploiting electro-mobility and developed in conjunction with the AlphaEos Institute and Professor Werner Sobek in Stuttgart: The Active House B10 generates twice as much energy from sustainable sources as it can use itself, provides energy for a neighbouring building subject to planning restrictions, can be rebuilt elsewhere and can be fully returned to the materials cycle.
In a joint research project, LebensPhasenHaus (life stages house), researchers from the University of Tübingen and the University Clinic Tübingen are collaborating on solutions related to self-determined living in later life. The building was constructed by SchwörerHaus.
A variety of assistance systems have been incorporated that are being tested and extended over the ten-year project phase. SchwörerHaus has been responding to demographic change for years now, offering a high level of living comfort and optional easy-to-access fixtures and fittings in its houses. FlyingSpace is ideally suitable for low-barrier designs.
