With meanwhile approximately 44,000 satisfied customers, the company SchwörerHaus KG is one of the leading house building addresses in Germany and in the neighbouring countries. In particular, the family-owned company sets standards when it comes to energy-saving and home-healthy building, as 26 patents prove. Since the late 1960s, high-quality single-family, semi-detached and multi-family houses in timer panel construction as well as multi-storey residential houses and hotels in the so-called Schwörer hybrid construction method have been planned, individually sampled and produced at the main plant in Hohenstein-Oberstetten. The company’s headquarters in Oberstetten also include the divisions SchwörerHolz with its own sawmill and the production of refined wood products as well as a biomass combined heat and power station with 9.2 megawatts of installed electrical output and 39,75 megawatts of thermal output.
Where we come from
Our story begins in 1950 when the Hans Schwörer KG builders‘ merchants company was founded. Just six years later, the plant in Hohenstein-Oberstetten was built, today’s company headquarters and the main production site for Schwörer prefabricated houses.
Where we are now
As a family-run firm, we employ around 1,850 workers at seven sites throughout Germany. About 1,300 of our employees work at SchwörerHaus KG. Some of them are even third and fourth generation workers…
